Job Description

The Accounts Receivable Analyst will be responsible for the company’s accounts receivable processes including invoicing, collections, reconciliation and customer relationship management.

Key Responsibilities

Invoicing and Billing:

• Generate and send out invoices to customers promptly.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and resolve billing issues.

Collections:

• Monitor customer accounts for non-payments, delayed payments or irregularities.
• Contact customers via phone, email or mail to collect outstanding payments.
• Negotiate payment plans and terms as needed.

Reconciliation:

• Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure accurate payment posting.
• Resolve billing issues and verify discrepancies.
• Prepare monthly accounts receivable reconciliation reports.

Customer Relationship Management:

• Build positive relationship with customers to facilitate timely collections.
• Address customer queries and resolve billing or payment issues.
• Provide excellent service to internal and external stakeholders.

Reporting and Analysis:

• Produce ageing reports and accounts receivable summaries.
• Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Support preparation of financial statements and other reports.

Compliance and Process Improvement:

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and implement best practices for accounts receivable management.
• Support audits by providing required documents and explanations.

Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field (preferred).
• ICAN/ACCA certification or final stage is an advantage.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years accounts receivable experience.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Knowledge:

• Thorough understanding of accounting principles.
• Knowledge of IFRS (preferred).* Accounting software and ERP systems.
