About the Role:

We’re looking for an experienced and visionary Head of People and Culture to join a leading cybersecurity company in Lagos. This role is for a strategic HR leader who can build a future-ready workforce, drive organisational excellence, and create a high-performance culture.

You will be responsible for designing systems that boost productivity, institutionalising learning, and managing the entire talent lifecycle – from recruitment to retention. The ideal candidate combines deep HR expertise with a strong understanding of business strategy, technology, and organisational transformation.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic People Leadership

  • Develop and implement a People & Culture strategy that supports business goals and market growth.
  • Advise the Managing Director and Board on workforce strategy, talent risks, and culture-building initiatives.
  • Align people practices with evolving industry standards, workforce models, and regulations.

2. Talent Management Lifecycle

  • Oversee workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee retention.
  • Build leadership capacity across technical, commercial, and operational functions.
  • Use data and predictive analytics to identify talent gaps and guide proactive HR interventions.

3. Employee Productivity & Performance

  • Design and manage performance frameworks (OKRs, KPIs, quarterly reviews) that link employee outcomes to business success.
  • Improve workflows and remove bottlenecks to increase productivity.
  • Establish a performance-driven reward and recognition system.

4. Learning & Knowledge Management

  • Promote a continuous learning culture through programs covering technical, leadership and behavioural development.
  • Build and maintain a Knowledge Management System (KMS) to capture organisational knowledge and best practices.
  • Partner with cybersecurity leaders to ensure workforce capabilities evolve with new threats and technologies.

5. Systems & Process Design

  • Design scalable HR systems and organisational structures to support company growth.
  • Standardise HR policies and workflows to promote fairness and efficiency.
  • Implement digital HR tools (HRIS, learning platforms, and performance systems) for better data-driven decisions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organisational Development or related field (required).* Master’s Degree is an added advantage.
  • 15+ years of progressive HR or People Leadership experience with at least 7 years in a senior or executive role.
  • Proven track record in organisational design, change management and knowledge management.
  • Experience of large-scale transformation and building scalable HR systems.
  • Background in learning, development and productivity frameworks.
  • Professional certification such as CIPD, SHRM-SCP, HRCI-SPHR or equivalent is required.
