Job Summary:
A tech company’s looking for a seasoned Mobile Developer to build, test and fix high-quality android and iOS apps. We want someone who genuinely cares about mobile tech, has experience with both native and cross-platform dev, and can build stuff that works.
The perfect candidate will be all over mobile tech, able to deliver solid, scalable, and secure mobile apps. They’ll know their way around native and cross-platform dev, and have a good eye for creating UX that just works.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take our mobile apps – android and iOS – through the development, testing and deployment process
- Work closely with our designers to create apps that both look and feel great
- Hook up our apps to secure backend APIs and third party services
- Handle everything to do with the app lifecycle – from building it to updating it
- Test our apps with unit and integration testing – we use XCTest, Espresso or Detox, but you’re the expert
- Set up and keep an eye on our CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins, CircleCI or Fastlane
- Keep an eye on performance, squash bugs, and keep our code tidy and well-documented
- Make strategic decisions between native and cross-platform, choosing the best way to go for each new project
- Make sure all our apps comply with data protection standards (we’re talking GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS here)
- Promote best practices around mobile security, accessibility, and performance
- Keep an eye out for new mobile tools, SDKs and frameworks and let us know if we should be using them
- Get our apps running fast, to scale and responsively
- Keep pushing for automation, testing and deployment improvements
Requirements & Qualifications:
- A degree in computer science, software engineering or something vaguely related
- 5+ years of experience in mobile app development
- Real experience with both native (swift, kotlin) and cross-platform (react native, flutter) dev
- Proficient in:
- Languages: Swift, Kotlin, Dart, JavaScript/TypeScript
- Tools & APIs: Android Studio, Xcode, Firebase, RESTful APIs
- Frameworks: React Native, Flutter (Xamarin is a bonus)
- Version Control: Git, GitHub, GitLab
- CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, CircleCI, Fastlane
- Testing Frameworks: XCTest, Espresso, Detox
- Good communication skills and an ability to work well in a remote team
- Meticulous with your detail and dedicated to getting the UI/UX right
- Able to shift your gears when mobile tech changes
Compensation & Perks:
- Monthly salary: ₦400,000 – ₦500,000 (depending on your experience)
